It enables people to communicate their thoughts, emotions, experiences, traditions, and knowledge from one generation to the next.
किसी भाषा का लुप्त होना केवल शब्दों और बोलचाल की एक पद्धति का समाप्त होना नहीं है, बल्कि उसके साथ उस भाषा से जुड़ी लोककथाएँ, गीत, कहावतें, परंपराएँ, सांस्कृतिक ज्ञान और जीवन-दृष्टि भी प्रभावित होती हैं। इसलिए किसी भाषा का संरक्षण और संवर्धन उसकी सांस्कृतिक विरासत को सुरक्षित रखने का महत्वपूर्ण माध्यम है। When a language disappears, it is not merely a vocabulary or means of communication that is lost. Along with it, generations may lose access to traditional stories, folk songs, sayings, cultural practices, indigenous knowledge, and distinctive ways of understanding the world. Preserving and promoting a language is therefore an important part of protecting cultural heritage.
